Well, here I am back again. To posting that is. I worked a lot on a poetry project and then just took it easy from writing.
But I want to come back to the blog. I'm not sure anyone reads it but I'll have to prod all my friends to have a look at it again.
Presently I am in Tucson for a month or so and it's Jan. 19th, 2009. This is the year of the ox. Hopefully, a better year for me personally. At the beginning of 2008, Year of the Rat, I was convinced that it'd be a wonderful year. Alas, one of the most downer years for me it turned out to be.
I've already dealt with this in another post so I won't go into it again.
I am so happy with the new political scene that seems to be emerging with Barak O'Bama that everything seems new and fresh. I hope that is indeed, the case. I want to give up cynicism. I'm tired of thinking everything is going to hell. To cynics everything has always been going to hell and yet the world keeps chugging on toward some eventual something. All I can do is keep the most open, fresh views and attitudes and keep my fingers and toes crossed for a happier tomorrow, not only for me but for my family, friends and if fact, the world. Being a cynic just feels old and tired and so "yesterday". I simply want to let it go, open the curtains, step outside and allow the sunshine into my heart and life and think on only the best of everything for all.
That is my hope for us all...worldwide. Some will see this as naive and pollyanna-ish...ok, maybe but letting the light in (at least for me) can only be good.
I'm gonna try to post regularly if for no other reason just so I can have a record of what I do in my life...memory can fool us and the written word doesn't.
So, there...for today...I welcome myself back.
