I Gotta Do My Thing
Well for the last month I've tried the retail route. Worked at a beautiful cookware store. Gave it the college try but I am so much interested in teaching people to eat better, feel better and be healthier, hopefully. I like talking people into doing things that are going to make their lives better.
Unfortunately, I did not feel that when I worked at the beautiful cookware store. I felt that I would not be able to say the things I really want to say. Things about eating healthy, recycling as much as possible, and making little changes in our lives that make bigger changes in the world.
I loved the people I worked with. It was so nice to work with women...a whole group of women. This is something I havent done for a long time. I found that I really enjoyed the experience of working with a nice group of women.
I guess the lesson I learned in working a month at this job is a little clarity on what I really do need to be doing in my work life. I need to work at something that benefits the earth on some level. Some natural food thing, some planting thing, some helpful thing that is more basic.
My gratitude for the opportunity in the cookware store. It was an interesting learning experience.
By the way, if you have a job for me...let me know.
